Come out and dance with us at Howard Community Center the 2nd Saturday Monthly. Howard's has a wonderful hardwood dance floor and dancing atmosphere located at 5645 Forsyth Rd just west of Bass Rd, Macon. Our very own DJ, Chester Gibbs, plays a great variety of music to everyone's dance pleasure and our complimentary lesson offered each monthly dance are enjoyed by all.
Greater Macon Chapter of USA Dance #6059 Board Members are keeping busy planning our monthly dances at Howard Community Center and other activities. We hope to see all members and truly welcome non-members and first-timers at all our dances for Dance and Fellowship.
FEBRUARY
Paula East and Greater Macon Chapter #6059 continue to host First Friday dances at the Sports Hall of Fame, 301 Cherry St. Macon. Come on out Friday, February 3rd. A Complimentary Lesson will be offered at 7:30 P.M. and Open Dancing from 8:00-10:00 P.M. The cost is only $5 per person covering the lesson and 2 Hours of Dancing! Proceeds help to keep our beautiful Sports Hall of Fame open.
In 2012 your Greater Macon Chapter Board is planning a number of theme dance events for you and we start it off with our Annual Valentine's Dance FEBRUARY 11th at Howard Community Center, 5645 Forsyth Rd, Macon. 7:30 - 10:30 P.M. Take advantage of a complimentary lesson by Derrek Walters from 7:30 - 8:00 P.M. by Derrek Walters. Derrek is from the Academy Ballroom in Atlanta and has placed nationally in the Fred Astaire Dance circuit and has won Pro Am titles in the NDCA circuit.
Ballroom Dance Workshops February 11th by Derrek Walters at Howard Community Center: Smooth Dance workshop 11:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M., Latin Dance workshop 12:30 P.M. - 1:30 P.M. Only $10 per person per workshop.
